(英文)印度新生儿协作项目

The Indian Neonatal Collaborative brought together practitioners from six of the best public and private neonatal intensive care units in India. The practitioners worked together to learn, implement, and scale up practices that reduce newborn deaths caused by infection.

India alone contributes a quarter of the total four million neonatal deaths each year. The recent health reforms in India have increased access to facility based neonatal care. There remains a need to improve quality in many of the neonatal facilities, including the need to develop and implement cost effective infection control measures suitable for settings with limited resources. ACCESS Health India, together with the Institute of Healthcare Improvement, brought together representatives from six of the best public and private neonatal intensive care units to develop and pilot a standard set of hospital processes to reduce the number of care driven infections among newborns. The active portion of the project was completed in December 2013, and final results of the collaboration will be available in late 2014.

The Indian Neonatal Collaborative was funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.

In addition to the participating hospitals, our partners on this project were the Indian School of Business, the Indian Statistical Institute (Hyderabad), and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
